Happy Birthday TJ!

Today is my husband's b-day! He is 29. I can say that because I'll be 29 in about 3 months. TJ and I started dating 12 years ago. I took him out for his b-day. We originally met online and had met 2 times in person before that, but hadn't really hung out or talked much. I called him earlier in the week and told him I was going to take him out for his b-day. He said he couldn't go out on the day of his b-day cuz his mom was doing something for him. I told him I'd take him out the day after. I went and picked him up. I didn't really know what he liked, but I bought him a shirt. I think it had a basketball on it. Shows you how much I really DIDN'T know about him! We went to a movie. I don't remember what the movie was called, but it was really dumb. I really wanted to hold his hand, but couldn't get the nerve up to do it. Instead, I layed my head on his shoulder. It was funny.

After the movie we went to Albertson's in Spanish Fork to get drinks, then we went to the Spanish Fork Main Street Park. We swung on the swings and talked. Just before we were going to leave I gave him a hug, then I kissed him. I had NO idea he'd never kissed anyone before. Anyway! I took him home and I went in to meet his brother, Ashly. There's a pretty funny story about meeting Ashly, but I'll save that for another time.

TJ's a great guy. He and I have both changed a lot since we met 12 years ago. We've learned to deal with those changes. So much of life has changed in that time. I'm glad he was born and that we got married. He's my best friend. I really enjoy spending time with him. He's one of the smartest people I know. He's inspired me to be a better person and to learn all that I can. He challenges me a lot (in a good way :) ). He makes me think about things. He also knows how to get on my nerves. There are times when he frustrates me really bad and there are times when I am filled with so much love for him I feel like I'm going to burst. I don't mind the hard times though, cuz I get the good times too. I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I think we made a really good pair!

Happy birthday to the love of my life!

Trip to Palisade

About a month ago, we went camping. We started out at Palisade Lake for a family reunion. This was Isaac's first camping trip and first time in a lake. He really liked it. He's a good camper!

Audrey loves the water and could spend all day in the lake if we let her. She likes to go out far!

Ethan loves the water too!

My cousin's husband, Darrin, took his kids with him in a canoe. My kids helped bring them in.

Audrey got a snorkel before we went. She really liked looking under the water.

Isaac had this little boat thing. It has holes for the legs. The water was too cold to have him in it in the water, but he liked sitting in it on the beach. This kid is so pale. Even though I didn't have him in the sun at all, he got burned. Must have reflected off the lake. It wasn't a bad burn. But I'm going to have to keep sunblock on him ALL the time!

For the reunion we have an auction to raise money for the reunion next year. I made these cute reversible headbands for the auction. They turned out really good and they were super fun to make!
Haylee wearing the headband her mom bought for her. She's so cute!

Isaac with Aunt Sara and Uncle Sam.

Isaac was a great camper! He loved every minute of it. This is a pic of him in his little bed. It's a pack n play with the bassinet in the top. Very handy!

Ethan had a snorkel, too.

Isaac LOVED camping! Such a happy camper.

Ethan is NOT a happy camper. I got this reaction after I told him he needed sunblock on. Then......

He fell asleep!

Isaac loves pulling Audrey's hair! She laughs and screams and he thinks it's funny!

See what a happy camper Isaac is! He's so funny.

Here we are with the tent. We didn't get a picture of TJ with us before he left. Oh well, he was there part of the time.
